Lean Six Sigma Plant Leader
Our top client, industry leader within the medical manufacturing industry, has an exciting opening supporting a 1800-non-union manufacturing operation and some back offices as a Lean-Six Sigma Plant Leader. Exceptional Performance will lead to progressive career advances within an organization that has a well-funded and top-down supported Lean Six Sigma program.
The Lean Six Sigma Plant Leader will lead and deploy Operational Excellence best practices throughout the manufacturing organization by supporting continuous improvement initiatives, improving manufacturing and business processes, and reducing costs. Provide training, expertise, mentoring and direction for improvement activities to support the manufacturing goals and objectives of the Company.
Assist in leading, facilitating, executing and managing projects to deliver significant cost savings by deploying Lean, Six Sigma and SPC tools and methodologies. Partner with management business leaders and process owners to develop a portfolio of continuous improvement projects that are aligned with business unit goals and objectives. Serve as a Lean/Six Sigma technical content expert to build process improvement knowledge within the organization. Identify and recommend manufacturing process improvements by applying continuous improvement principles. Train and mentor teams to drive improvement initiatives across the organization.
REQUIREMENTS
BS/BA or equivalent in business management, engineering or related field. Minimum of 8 years broad experience within a manufacturing operation; automotive or medical device industries preferred. Lean Leader certification preferred and proven record of planning, developing and implementing Lean activities. Six Sigma Certification (Black Belt) preferred. SPC training and certification. Experience in teaching Lean/Six Sigma training. Ability to effectively work with teams and management stakeholders. Understanding of and proficiency in Change Management. Strong project management, problem solving and analytical skills. Advanced Microsoft Office and Minitab skills preferred.
